One of the outstanding scorers in the history of St. Lawrence women’s soccer and the winner of both the Freshman Scholar-Athlete and Senior Scholar-Athlete awards, Sally Parizeau Tyrie led the Saints to four straight post-season berths including their first NCAA Division III tournament appearance and an opening round win over Curry College.
Also a member of the women’s lacrosse team for two years and a member of the women’s ice hockey team, she made her name in soccer and was a first team All State selection as well as a first-team all conference choice. She was a two-time captain of the soccer team and helped it compile a 41-17-4 record in her four seasons. While she missed much of her senior season due to injury, scoring a goal and adding three assists in seven games, she finished her career with 27 goals and 31 assists. She set a single game point record with four goals and an assist against Plattsburgh in 1987 and had a two-goal, four-assist game against Brockport the same season.
Sally was an economics major and a consistent Dean’s List student.
