The most honored of all St. Lawrence football players, Ron made the Associated Press All America team in all three years of his varsity career, 1951, 52, and 53.

A guard on those three teams, he played a key role in the 7-1 1951 team which played a role in SLU’s string of 18 straight wins. His blocking helped the 1951 team set a record for rushing yards in a season.

He later coached the Saints for seven seasons in football and had also coached the Saints to undefeated seasons in both women’s lacrosse and cross country.

He was a leader in professional organizations, alumni affairs and the Canton Community.
