An outstanding back who still holds the St. Lawrence records for points and touchdowns in a season and shares the records for points and touchdowns in a game, Bob Reyell was a key player in some of the most successful years in SLU football history.

A three year varsity standout, he was one of the top ground gainers on the 1949 and 1950 teams which won 14 straight games. The 1950 team led the nation in rushing and was the first unbeaten team in SLU history. He gained 765 yards and set his scoring records in a 7-1 senior season in which the Saints were ranked sixth nationally in rushing.

Bob was named to Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities, was treasurer of the Junior and Senior classes and was “L” club secretary.

An Insurance and Real Estate owner and broker, he was designated a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow and is a trustee of both the Trudeau Institute and North Country Community College.
