An All America in two sports in the same year, Mitch Brown was an outstanding athlete who also played baseball in addition to his exploits in football and wrestling.

National champion at 158 pounds in 1977 and a four-time All America in wrestling, Mitch scored 23 points in a football game while playing defense and was named a first team Associated Press Little All America at defensive back. He set most of SLU place kicking records including 111 career kicking points.

He was the leading tackler on the 1976 NCAA semifinalist team and his 117 wrestling wins were the most ever by a Saint wrestler.
