    Hall of Fame Team

Coached by George Menard, the 1960-61 team included three players who earned All America honors during their career, Terry Slater, Arlie Parker and Richie Broadbelt. They became the first St. Lawrence team to win an NCAA semifinal with a 6-3 win over Rensselaer. While host Denver won the championship game 12-2 to finish its season 30-1-1, the 1961 Saint team included five seniors who made three straight NCAA appearances at a time when freshmen could not participate in varsity athletics. Goaltender Joe Sherin, forwards Slater, Gordie Brown and Duncan Campbell and defenseman Ray Pratt were the first seniors to make three straight NCAA appearances.

The 1960-61 team finished its season 16-5-0 including an 11-1-0 record at Appleton Arena and had the third highest win total in SLU hockey history to that point.
