One of the outstanding women’s basketball players in St. Lawrence history, Jocelyn Furnia Kelly set the SLU records for career scoring, assista and steals and led the Saints to their first-ever NCAA tournament berth.

Jocelyn, who was both the Freshman and Senior Scholar Athlete Award winner during her career, was a three-time Most Valuable Player for the basketball team and a two-year team captain. She led the team to the number one ranking in New York State in 1982-83.

Jocelyn scored 1140 career points, had 391 career assists and established records for assists in a season, points in a season, points in a game, assists in a game and steals in a game and season. She was a nominee for the Naismith Award as a senior and an all state selection as well as being named to the NCAA tournament all tourney team.

A Phi Beta Kappa member and a Presidential Scholar, she was a member of ODK.
