St. Lawrence University Athletics

A key contributor to the 1976 NCAA Division III Championship, Jeff Cook was a 22-time All America and a five-time NCAA champion during his four-year career in swimming at St. Lawrence.

Cook, who set SLU records in each of his events and still holds a share of the pool and team record in the 100 free and is part of the pool record holding 800 free relay team, had All America finishes at the NCAA Division III championships in 1975, 1976, 1977 and 1978. He won national titles in the 100 free in 1976 and the 50 free in 1978 and was part of the national champion 400 medley and 800 free relay teams in 1976. He was a five-event All America as a freshman, with scoring finishes in the 50, 100 and 200 free and as part of the 400 and 800 free relays.

He earned All America in six events as a sophomore on the national championship team adding the 100 fly to the 50 and 100 free and the 400 medley and 400 and 800 free relays, repeated as a six-event All America in 1977 and had five All America finishes, including his 50 free title as a senior.

Cook also helped St. Lawrence to some of its top state meet performances in the history of the program during his four years on the team. He set state meet records in both the 100 and 50 free and was part of a record-setting 400 medley relay team as a senior.

He is now a Therapeutic Nutritional Specialist-Acute Care for Abbott Nutrition and has earned many sales honors during his career.
