St. Lawrence University Athletics

St. Lawrence's first woman All America in any sport, Gayle McCabe earned that honor three times before graduating and helped the young St. Lawernce women's swim program to top ten finishes in national competition.

A standout in freestyle, Gayle set St. Lawrence records in the 50 and 100 free as well as the sprint butterfly races. She was also a member of record-setting relays.

An honors student in psychology, she was a campus leader as well. Following graduation she became an insurance executive in Boston and continues to support St. Lawrence as a fund raiser and career counselor.
