St. Lawrence’s first All America goalie, Bill Sloan played on two NCAA Tournament teams and currently holds eight goaltending records.

A Phi Beta Kappa graduate, Dr. Sloan is currently the vice president for administration at Potsdam State College.

During his four seasons, SLU went 67-19-2 and Sloan was the goaltender in all but two of those games. He still holds records for wins in a career (65), shutouts in a career (9) and season (4), goals against average in a career (2.55), in a season (2.12) and consecutive shutout minutes (201:52).
