A first-team All America and the NCAA Division III Player of the Year for
the 1999 season, Dan Annan Jr. helped St. Lawrence University's soccer team to
62 wins, three league championships, three NCAA appearances and a national
championship during his four-year career.
A four-year all-conference selection and the Upstate Athletic Association
Player of the Year as a senior, he became the third athlete in St. Lawrence
history to earn a national player of the year honor when he was selected as
NSCAA Division III Player of the Year after helping the 1999 team to a perfect
22-0-0 record and the NCAA Division III Championship, the first team in NCAA
Division III history to go unbeaten and untied en route the title. He was team
Most Valuable Player as a senior and was its Rookie of the Year as a freshman.
A captain of the championship team, he was the team MVP and Dana
Holllingsworth Offensive MVP for the 17-0-2 1998 team which won the league
title and was NCAA Northeast champions, losing on penalty kicks in its bid to
advance to the NCAA semifinals. Danny scored eight goals and assisted on two
others as a junior. He finished his career with 20 goals and 21 assists for 61
points which ranks in the top 15 in program history. He played on teams which
went 62-7-7, won three straight league titles, an ECAC championship and made
the NCAA tournament in three of his four seasons.
An economics major at St. Lawrence he went on to play professionally for the
Rochester Rhinos, Montreal Impact and the Milwauke Rampage in the "A" League
and at the time of his induction he was in business development focused on
broker-dealers at IShares, a division of BlackRock in San Francisco.
