Chris Cleveland was a standout in both basketball and soccer during his St. Lawrence career and captained the 1973-74 basketball team which went undefeated in league play and earned the first NCAA bid in Saint basketball history.

An outstanding rebounder in basketball and a goaltender in soccer, Chris set a record for shutouts in his sophomore season with seven as the soccer team posted its second straight 11-1 season. He missed a good portion of his senior season in basketball due to injury, but returned to help the team to a 17-6 record, the best in program history to that point, and its first NCAA tournament appearance in what was then the NCAA college division tournament. He was a four-year varsity player in both sports and also played on the tennis team.

His shutout record in soccer stood for 20 years and he was the 1971 All New York State goaltender. Also an outstanding student, he earned Academic All America honors in 1973.

Chris has gone on to a highly successful career in sales and he and his wife Emilie are the parents of two children.
