A three-time All-America selection, Charlie Santry was one of the best defensive lacrosse players in the nation and is the standard by which all St. Lawrence defensemen are now measured.
In his four seasons, the Saints went 46-20 and made four consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances. He was a Third-Team All-America selection as a sophomore and a First-Team selection in both his junior and senior seasons. A captain of the 1984 team, he was named the Team MVP and earned a spot in the 1984 North-South Game.
After graduation, Charlie continued to excel in athletics, spending four years sailing as a crew member on the Americas Cup contender America II.
He is the co-founder and president of HKD Snowmakers, Inc., and now resides in Chestnut Hill, Mass., with his wife, Anni. He has four children: Nelson, Gordon, Oliver, and Pauline.
