The Atlantic Region Runner of the Year as a senior and captain of the cross country and indoor and outdoor track teams, Amy Farrell has gone on to become a world-class triathlete since her graduation from St. Lawrence.
A physical education teacher and coach, Amy won the 2009 Ironman 70.3 age group World Championship, was the 2010 USA Triathlon, Duathlon National Champion, the 2014 Ironman age group World Champion and the 2015 Ironman Lake Placid Champion.
During her undergraduate career, she set records in the 1500, mile and 5,000 meters and was part of record-setting relay teams. She was a three-time New York State Collegiate Track and Field Conference track Most Valuable Performer and the Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association Track Athlete of the Year. She was a consistent winner in distances from 800 meters through 5,000 meters in addition to running 4x800 and 4x400 relays. She still held the SLU program record in the 1500 meters indoors at the time of her induction.
Amy and her husband Kevin LaDue are the parents of a daughter, Ruby and live in Tupper Lake, NY.
