Allison Karkut Wikander '00 became the first St. Lawrence rider to graduate with multiple individual national championships to her name, winning the Intermediate on the Flat title at IHSA Nationals in 1998 before capping her career with the Open Equitation on the Flat title in 2000. She helped lead the team to the American National Riding Commission Championship title in 1998, was a Cacchione Cup contender as the region's high point rider as a senior and won the IHSA's Sportsmanship Award in her final year at St. Lawrence as well.
After graduating, Allison spent a year riding professionally, earning IHSA national titles in Alumni Equitation on the Flat and Alumni Equitation over Fences. She is currently a high school math teacher in Trumbull, Connecticut, and lives in Easton, Connecticut, with her husband, Jonas, and their daughter, Samantha.
